CIE / Documentation

Customer context and human decisions.

Keep the buyer, need, customer reply and next action together. Define who can review an offer or approve a commitment before connecting systems.

Keep facts, assumptions and proposals separate

Record customer statements, requirements, sources, scope changes and current proposals clearly. Keep verified facts separate from assumptions. Email correspondence, call history, messages, quotations and next tasks belong to the same opportunity context.

Prepare a decision packet

Show the reason for review, affected rule, possible choices and missing evidence. Assign a responsible reviewer. Approval, revision, decline and requests for information have different consequences. A customer reply that changes delivery timing should return the affected proposal to review rather than inherit a previous approval.

Review outcomes and handoffs

Review stage, ownership, open questions, next action and agreed outcome. Record reasons for decline or no-bid decisions. Learning can suggest better questions and rules, while an authorized person approves policy changes. Agree operational responsibilities and permissions for the workflow.
